This place was a recommendation from some people I met at the Steel city beer festival. And what a good call! As soon as I walked in I could see the vast charm the place had. A great feel to the place too!
Enjoyed an Amy Winehouse tribute beer, Back to Black...a tasty chocolate stout, very nice. Followed it with an H Bomb which was a golden, fruity beer right up my street. There were some nice cheap rolls on the bar too (why is it only pubs in Sheffield seem to do this? It really works).

This is a great traditional real ale pub, there's plenty of seating inside and a large outdoor area which does get vey busy on the odd summer days that we have.
Theres a good selection of beers, I had my first taste of Fruli on tap in here. It had a good atmosphere and the satff are friendly and knowledgable about the types of beers.
Definately one to try. -

Quite possibly the best traditional pub in Sheffield. The bar staff are friendly. The beer range is out of this world. The prices are spot on. The atmosphere is always excellent. Large heated beer garden. A pub well worth visiting any time of the day or any evening. The layout is interesting, big bar area, and large seating area to the front and back. Comes highly recommended. Traditional pubs don't get better than this and have to be cherished.
